Document Storage & Audit Backup

KCI keeps digital and hard copy versions of every document filed on your behalf, so you have audit backup whenever a jurisdiction asks for it.

Most trucking companies do not have a compliance department. They have someone in the office who handles compliance alongside three other jobs, and a stack of deadlines that do not care how busy that person is. IRP renews annually, IFTA is quarterly, Form 2290 has its own date, UCR runs on the calendar year, and several states want their own filings on top.

Kunzler Consulting takes the whole stack. We hold the accounts, track the deadlines, prepare the filings and keep the records, so the only time you have to think about compliance is when you add a truck or open a new lane.

That is the model we have run since 2003, for fleets from single owner operators to companies running equipment across dozens of jurisdictions. The work below is what that covers.

What Working With Us Looks Like

  • One point of contact who knows your fleet, not a ticket queue
  • Deadlines tracked on our calendar rather than yours
  • Digital and hard copy records of every document filed on your behalf
  • Straight answers on what you actually need, not a list of everything we sell
  • Filings that agree with each other, because one team prepares them all

How Engagements Usually Start

Most carriers come to us in one of two situations. Either compliance has outgrown the person handling it and deadlines are starting to slip, or something has already gone wrong, a missed quarter, a lapsed credential, an audit letter, and they need it dealt with properly.

Either way the first conversation is the same. We look at what you run, where you run it, and what is currently filed. That usually surfaces one or two things nobody knew were outstanding, particularly the state level filings that sit outside IRP and IFTA.

From there you get a straight answer on what actually needs doing, what it costs, and what we need from you. If a filing is genuinely something you can keep handling in house, we will say so rather than quote for it.
