Fleet Changes & Renewals
IRP supplements and annual renewals managed for your fleet: vehicle additions and deletions, weight group changes, and on-time renewal filing.
Your IRP Account, Kept Current All Year
An IRP account is never static. Trucks are bought, sold, and re-specced throughout the year, and each change has to be filed as a supplement. We keep your account accurate as your fleet moves.
What This Covers
- Vehicle additions when new units enter service
- Deletions for sold, retired, or totalled equipment
- Weight group changes and re-classifications
- Annual IRP renewal preparation and filing
- Mileage data collection for renewal
- Multi-jurisdiction account maintenance
What Is Included
- Supplements filed to add newly acquired units mid year
- Sold, retired and stolen units removed from the account promptly
- Weight group changes filed when a unit changes role
- Jurisdiction additions when your lanes expand into new states
- Annual renewal prepared from clean, reconciled distance data
Keeping The Account Current Between Renewals
Fleets move constantly, and the registration account has to move with them. A truck bought in March cannot wait until next year to appear on the account, and a unit sold in June should not still be carried on it. Both cost money in different directions.
The renewal itself is the easy part if the year has been handled properly. It is built from your reported distance, so a year of accurate records produces a renewal that goes through without argument. A year of gaps produces an estimate, and estimates get reconciled later, usually not in your favor.
We file supplements as things happen rather than batching them. It is a small amount of work spread across the year instead of a scramble in the renewal window, and it keeps every credential valid the whole time.
The Cost Of Waiting Until Renewal
Carrying a sold unit on your account means paying registration for a truck you no longer own. Running a newly bought unit before it is added means operating on credentials that do not cover it. Both happen when changes get saved up for the renewal instead of filed as they occur.
The weight groups matter just as much. A tractor that moves from heavy haul to lighter regional work may be registered well above what it now needs, and that difference is charged every year until somebody files the change.
We ask for one thing to make this work: tell us when equipment moves. A short message when a unit is bought, sold or reassigned is enough, and we handle the filing from there.
Common Questions
How far ahead do you start annual renewals?
We begin well before the deadline, gathering mileage and fleet data early so the renewal is filed on time with no gap in registration.
What happens if we sell a truck mid-year?
We file the deletion supplement so you are not carrying registration on equipment you no longer own.
